CREATIVE MAKERS: Toys, Puzzles Camp; Play Lab (Grades 1 – 6) Step into a world of creativity and clever design! In this hands-on camp, young inventors will dream up and build their own toys, puzzles, and tabletop games. Kids will explore how toys work, experiment with simple mechanisms, sketch ideas, create characters, design game boards, and build 3D prototypes using a variety of materials. D&D SIMPLIFIED: Adventurer’s Guild (Grades 2 & Up) Face down the forces of the Dark Wizard, save civilians and work on becoming the hero you can be. This curriculum works on skills in communication, math, reading, and critical thinking. Help the Adventurer’s Guild overthrow the Forces of Evil! Each student will come home with a set of dice and a folder with their character sheet. Note: Leave D&D materials at home

Extreme Robotics: Battlebots (Grades 2-7) This camp will energize and excite students by combining the LEGO® building system's versatility and the Mindstorms EV3 (the most sophisticated microcomputer brick ever made by LEGO®). Working in teams, students will construct fun LEGO® models, experiment with programs, and compete in robotic challenges. Robot building, block programming, and teamwork will be part of each day's activities. The final challenge will be a sumo battle. Please bring lunch and a drink.

This is a DNR sponsored class that is required in order to obtain a Firearms Safety Certificate. Participants must be age 11 and older at the start of class. IMPORTANT: Participants must attend all sessions. If you cannot attend one of the sessions, do not sign up. Saturday's class will be a required test and field day. DNR Firearms Safety Certification is required of anyone born after 12/31/1979 in order to obtain a hunting license. HOOKED ON COOKIES: SUMMER EDITION - (K-5TH) Dive into summer fun with Hooked on Cookie’s: Summer Edition! In this creative class, youth will decorate cookies inspired by sunny beach days and fishing adventures. From seashells and starfish to fishing poles and colorful catches, each cookie becomes a playful canvas for imagination. Participants will learn simple decorating techniques, experiment with vibrant colors, and bring their summer stories to life through edible art. At the end of class, everyone will take home their decorated cookies to share with family and friends—sweet souvenirs of a summer well spent. MIN/MAX: 6/30

MINECRAFT ENGINEERING CHALLENGE (Grades 3 - 8) Take your Minecraft skills to the next level with Minecraft Engineering Challenge, the ultimate STEM-powered sequel for fans of the game! Students will dive into the world of Redstone to design circuits, build logic gates, and optimize resource pipelines while sharpening problem-solving and systems thinking skills. The camp builds toward an exciting “Engineering Olympics,” where participants put their creations to the test in timed challenges that reward both creativity and efficiency. This camp offers a hands-on way to explore real engineering concepts inside the game kids already love—perfect for players ready to go beyond building and into the science of how things work!

PIONEER PARK DAY CAMPS AT MINNESOTA PIONEER PARK (Ages 6 & Up) Do you have what it takes to be a pioneer? Come and experience the daily life of a pioneer farm child. Dress the part, with bonnets and aprons for the girls, vests and hats for the boys. Do chores, bake bread, churn butter, cook over a wood stove. Attend school in an authentic one room schoolhouse. Play games and make crafts. Fee includes lunch, snacks & beverages. If your child has any food allergies please let the Community Education Office know in advance. POKEMON MADNESS: Play the Trading Card Game (Grades 1 & Up) Come and learn how to play the game! Learn how to adapt, lose, and try again until you claim victory! Play against classmates first with basic decks, then with more advanced decks. Discover the secrets of Pokemon and how to battle more effectively so you can come out on top!
