Flag Football Fall LeagueRecreationWelcome to our Flag Football League! This league is perfect for athletes of all skill levels who want to enjoy the excitement and strategy of football. Our program focuses on teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development, making it a great way to learn the skills used in 5th/6th grade tackle football league! Heart of the Lakes Skills Camp - BasketballRecreationFor both boys and girls. The Heart of The Lakes Basketball Skills Camp goals are to develop basketball skills, confidence and and overall better understanding of the game. Tackle FootballRecreationThis is an instructional league where players will be able to put on the pads and helmets and get a feel for what tackle football is all about. They will be taught the fundamentals of the game of football. Teams will have a game or practice on Tuesday/Thursday each week. Practices and games will be weeknights from 6:00 - 7:15pm. Due to the time of sunset in October, there will be one weeknight practice each week from 5:30pm - 6:45pm, and a Saturday morning practice/game/jamboree for the last two weeks of the season. Practice locations will vary from the Annandale Rec Park, or Annandale Middle School or Annandale Elementary school. Games will be played at the Annandale Rec Park or Annandale Middle School with the possibility of games at area schools such as Kimball, Rockford, Litchfield, Etc. Players & talent is distributed equally. Team requests are not always honored. Atwater Jamboree: Date TBD at ACGC High School (Saturday morning) Mandatory equipment pick up: Tuesday, August 11th at 5:00pm Equipment provided by Community Education: MouthguardHelmetShoulder Pads Parent/Guardian must purchase and provide: Cleats (Rubber Spikes) Black Football Pants - with pads Parents are responsible for keeping track of equipment throughout the season. Shoulder pads and helmet will be turned into CE at the end of the season. Volunteer coaches are needed! ZEBCO School of FishRecreationThe ZEBCO School of Fish is a 2 1/2-hour youth and beginners fishing class open to kids (and adults!) from grades 1 and up taught by pro angler and Fishing the Midwest TV show host Mike Frisch. Students learn about lakes, finding fish in those lakes during, and some great ways to catch them. They also learn to tie a fishing knot and rig and use a slip-bobber setup. Each student gets: *ZEBCO Rod & Reel *School of Fish Hat or T-shirt *Tackle box and tackle *School of Fish full color workbook *One adult is invited to attend with a child at no additional charge, provided they share one equipment packet. **Most importantly, however, graduates leave class with the knowledge, skills, and equipment to go fishing! **Kids grades 1-4 are asked to be accompanied by one adult at no additional charge, providing they share one equipment package.Summer 2026
