Ages 13 & Up In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won’t have to take private lessons to do it. This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. BATTLE DRONES (Grades 3 - 8) Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork, and how to skillfully fly a drone. In Battle Drones, teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents’ drones. Students will be guided by experienced camp instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. Extreme Robotics: Battlebots (Grades 2-7) This camp will energize and excite students by combining the LEGO® building system's versatility and the Mindstorms EV3 (the most sophisticated microcomputer brick ever made by LEGO®). Working in teams, students will construct fun LEGO® models, experiment with programs, and compete in robotic challenges. Robot building, block programming, and teamwork will be part of each day's activities. The final challenge will be a sumo battle. Please bring lunch and a drink.

This is a DNR sponsored class that is required in order to obtain a Firearms Safety Certificate. Participants must be age 11 and older at the start of class. LIGHTSABER FENCING: The 7 Forms (Grades 1 & Up) In this class, we learn how to lightsaber-fence, starting simply and becoming more advanced. Each of the seven forms has a different perspective that can be applied in the dueling ring and outside of it. This course will help you combine the mind and body in a way that improves mental health as well as physical health. Students will start with drills and games, practicing their skills to use in a tournament at the end of class. Note: Bring a water bottle and closed toe shoes. Leave all lightsabers at home. The instructor will provide the training sabers and protective equipment.
