In this class, we help the parent and gymnast work together in a playful, fun atmosphere to develop flexibility, agility, hand-eye coordination, body awareness, and build strength while learning basic gymnastics skills, shapes, and terms. We use music, games, and gymnastics equipment to create a great experience for parents and gymnasts. We understand you may have multiple children that want to participate in this program. Dress the part, with bonnets and aprons for the girls, vests and hats for the boys. Do chores, bake bread, churn butter, cook over a wood stove. Attend school in an authentic one room schoolhouse. Preschool Child Care (Little Cardinals)Little Cards Childcare is a 4-star Parent Aware rated preschool child care program designed for children ages 3 years through the start of Kindergarten. The program provides a warm, caring, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports early childhood growth through play-based learning and consistent daily routines. Children participate in a variety of activities that promote social-emotional development, early learning skills, creativity, and independence, including art, music, movement, quiet play, and guided group experiences. Little Cards focuses on helping young learners feel safe, confident, and ready for the school day. Students must be fully potty trained and enrolled in an Annandale Community Education Preschool program. A toilet trained child is a child who is independently able to:1. Tell an adult they have to go potty before they have to go.2. Pull down their underwear and pants and get them back up without assistance.3. Wipe themselves after using the toilet.4. Get on and off the toilet by themselves.5. Wash and dry their own hands.6. Postpone going if they must wait for someone who is in the bathroom or if we are outside and away from the bathroom. Puppy TrainingEnrichmentPUPPY TRAINING This six-week class is for all breeds of puppies, ages 8 weeks to 4 months old. Each class starts with 15 minutes of puppy play and socialization. Throughout the six-weeks, we work on basic obedience including leash walking, sit, down and stay. We address issues as needed such as biting, house breaking, crate training, etc. Classes are held indoors in a heated/AC facility with matted floors. Puppies should have their first set of shots including first Parvo/distemper and Bordatella (optional). Young handlers are welcome accompanied by a parent. Students should bring a regular buckle collar, 6- foot leash and plenty of soft dog treats to class. *Register to begin any Monday night. . Instructed by Dawn Schaefer Stumpf, this set of three 45 minute classes focuses on resetting the nervous system and restoring a sense of wellbeing. It has been inspiring curiosity about local history and heritage for more than 50 years. The World Famous and controversial Kensington Rune Stone was the Runestone Museum’s only artifact when it opened its’ doors in 1958. Since then, the museum has grown to include additional artifacts found in Minnesota that relate to Middle-Age Nordic explorers. The 40 piece collection includes the Climax fire steel. In the First Peoples exhibit, an original 1920s Tinkle Cone Dress is on display; only four such dresses exist in North America. Visitors can also explore Minnesota’s natural history.
